  • Visualization
Tools: Python
Year: 2017

Overview

To support early wireless system design, a small Python-based tool was developed for visualizing indoor signal propagation scenarios. The application provided a convenient way to explore the impact of walls and obstacles on signal coverage and compare different environment layouts without extensive field testing.

The tool combined a simple propagation model with interactive visualization and configurable environment definitions, making it useful for quick feasibility studies and communication system planning.

Key Contributions:

  • Python-based visualization and simulation tool
  • Interactive scenario configuration GUI
  • External file support for environment modeling
  • Basic attenuation and shadowing analysis using raycasting techniques
  • Support for early-stage wireless system evaluation and experimentation
