Indoor RF Propagation Simulation Tool
Overview
To support early wireless system design, a small Python-based tool was developed for visualizing indoor signal propagation scenarios. The application provided a convenient way to explore the impact of walls and obstacles on signal coverage and compare different environment layouts without extensive field testing.
The tool combined a simple propagation model with interactive visualization and configurable environment definitions, making it useful for quick feasibility studies and communication system planning.
Key Contributions:
- Python-based visualization and simulation tool
- Interactive scenario configuration GUI
- External file support for environment modeling
- Basic attenuation and shadowing analysis using raycasting techniques
- Support for early-stage wireless system evaluation and experimentation
